I've decided to close down this blog, as the number of readers doesn't really justify the time it requires. I still would welcome any comments or questions on the book, you can email me at mike.austin at symbol eku dot edu.
If you are interested in issues related to ethics and the good life, see my blog Morality and the Good Life. I'll be posting any running related items there, as they connect to morality and the good life. If you are interested in issues in Philosophy of Sport, see the group blog related to those topics here.

Mike, Sorry to see it go, but I certainly understand. I've enjoyed reading, and also learned a lot from reading your book. Best wishes!
I am also sad to see this blog go as I would have hoped there would have been more interest. The book was wonderful and had many interesting points. Good luck with your running in the future!
I usually keep up with books in the Running World but oddly enough just found yours today while visiting the Brown University Book Store. I am in Providence to run the first Providence Marathon. I have always related philosophy (especially philosophy of religion) with my running. Unfortunately I found your site a bit too late but I am glad that I found yoru book. Just found your site and am sorry to see you shut it down. I'm into running and deep thinking as well. If you are still monitoring the comments, do you have some suggestions on other blogs?
